Wishing Stone will hold its second workshop on November 2-8, 2014 at Blantyre, a small luxury resort located in Lenox, Massachusetts.
Brought to you by Michael Maren, Dani Shapiro, and Hannah Tinti—co-founders with Antonio & Carla Sersale of the Sirenland Writers Conference in Positano, Italy—Wishing Stone hosts small, private writing workshops in beautiful locations, focused on individual attention, extensive editorial work, and opening writers to the possibilities of their imagination.
Our workshop at Blantyre will consist of two classes of ten. One taught by Dani Shapiro, and the other taught by Hannah Tinti. Classes will meet in the morning with their instructors. After lunch, afternoon activities will be held to open writers’ imaginations—either through craft lectures, writing exercises, or yoga and meditation. Evenings will include readings, open mic night, guest speakers, and talks of living the writer’s life. There will also be a visit and tour of The Mount, the nearby home of classic author Edith Wharton.
The deadline to apply is August 15th. For more information, visit our FAQ page.
